“Adventure Georgia” Questions

Our travelers come from all kinds of countries and backgrounds. You will be traveling with like-minded adventurous people who, like you, are keen to share the experience and forge lifelong friendships.

Absolutely! It’s the best way to meet new people. We don’t charge extra for single supplement, as long as you can share your room/tent with your travel companions.

Tipping is optional and at the discretion of individual trip members. Please remember, the following suggestion is merely a guideline, not an expectation. If you feel your guide(s) did an outstanding job and would like to reward them for their efforts, a suggested guideline is 10-20% of the trip price.

The accommodation will vary from trip to trip. When not enjoying our fully supported camping trips, we strive to handpick quality accommodation based on location, reliability and local charm that captures the essence of the destinations. Accommodation is typically on a twin-share basis; however single supplements are available most of the time, at an additional price.

Usually all you need to bring is your personal gear. We provide a gear list outlining needed clothing and equipment for each trip on tour page. For the majority of our trips, we provide the rest: tents, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, bicycles, support vehicle, rafting gear, snowshoes, camping gear and etc.

Usually we keep group size 16 or below. On some highly technical tours (such as cross-country ski expedition) we keep the highest number at 8. Please refer to individual tour page for exact number of participants.
For private groups, number is more flexible and can be adjusted to your need.

Like accommodation, the style of transportation varies by tour; however, it is always safe, secure and comfortable. From large safari trucks and private cars to authentic train carriages and air conditioned touring buses, our transportation will easily get you to your next destination in a reliable manner that showcases the local culture – whether it entails taking the scenic route through the countryside or travelling in traditional vehicles. Of course, on many of our adventures you are your own form of transportation, travelling by foot, bike or kayak!

We ask that you carefully consider whether you are physically and mentally able to complete the itinerary you have chosen, recognizing that on many trips you will be required to carry your own bags and walk on uneven surface.

Where we can we will make reasonable adjustments to the operation of our trips to facilitate the requirements of disabled travelers – such as booking ground floor accommodation, or having our guides communicate important directions in writing as well as verbally. Many travelers with disabilities have been able to enjoy our trips by travelling with a friend or companion who can assist with specific needs. If joining a group trip is not practical we may be able to provide you with a private departure. Please contact us for further information on any of our itineraries.

Requirements for travel visas vary widely depending on your nationality. We might be able to help in some cases, but in others you might need to do it yourself. Please contact us for further information.

Each trip requires a minimum number of participants. If we sign up enough participants to run a trip, the trip is confirmed, and we’ll alert travelers so they can purchase their airfare. Many of our departures confirm with as few as four trip participants.

In most cases, if a trip doesn’t have enough participants, you may either transfer to another departure date or trip, be refunded your deposit or you might be able to pay a supplemental fee to run the trip with fewer participants.

Travelers arrive from all over the world to begin our tours and it is not possible to include international airfare in our prices. We would be happy to help you arrange flights. Just ask for a quote when you contact us.

Some of our tours include airport transfers, but for others you will need to get in the city center by yourself. You can find out whether it’s included or not, by reading itinerary, if it’s written there, then it’s included.

We know that holiday planning requires time, money and effort. It is our aim to incorporate as many inclusions as possible during your trip to ensure your time is spent effectively and to minimize out of pocket expenses. Our trip pricing includes most meals, national park permits, transfers, entrance fees, equipment, support vehicles and accommodation. These vary by trip, and specific inclusions can be found on each tour page.

We Incorporate as many inclusions as possible into the trip cost, such as most meals, transport and accommodation. This means you are able to limit your spending once you leave home. Additionally, we do not charge a supplement if you are a single traveler.

Trip prices are based on shared arrangements (typically two guests per room), unless otherwise stated. For solo travellers, we’ll pair you with another person of the same gender to share rooms and if there’s no one suitable to share with, there’s no forced single supplement. However, if you specifically request your own rooms, you can opt to pay the single supplement.

Families consisting of four guests traveling with children aged 17 and under will be automatically assigned one shared room. However, the following alternative rooming allocations are available:

Families consisting of four guests with all children aged 13 and above are welcome to opt for additional rooms as per advertised double occupancy adult rates.

Families consisting of four guests with at least one child aged 12 and under are automatically assigned a shared room. However, families can opt to pay the adult rates for all guests in their family to have an additional room.

The same principles apply for families consisting of more than four guests.

Rooming preferences are subject to availability and must be communicated in writing at time of booking. Automatic assignments as per this policy will be applied in the absence of any specification provided by guests. Any request for additional rooms during trips will be at guests’ own expense and subject to rates made available by the accommodation provider at the time. All minors (guests aged 17 and under) must be accompanied by at least one adult.

Camaraderie is a big part of our adventure trips. Your fellow travelers also enjoy being active and exploring the outdoors. We encourage you to carefully review the trip information in order to make good decisions about which trips are right for you.

With that in mind, we ask that the group respect each individual’s conditions and needs throughout the trip. We want everyone to enjoy themselves to the fullest.
